About Deckers Inc.

Out along Springdale Road the lots get longer and the driveways run well back from the street, which is a pleasant arrangement in June and a serious one in a snowstorm. Deckers Inc. handles the winter side of that: plowing drives and parking areas, clearing walkways, and salting so the shaded stretches don't glaze over by dusk. Storms here come up the coast and blow in sideways, filling a cleared lane back in while you're still working the far end of it. So you make another pass, then another, until the blacktop is honest again. A long driveway opened to the road before breakfast is a small mercy, and it is the entire reason for being out at that hour.
