About Meridian Earthworks LLC.

September dusk at Croft Farm comes down soft, amber over the open fields, with the creek in the trees still talking to itself after the day's heat. Meridian Earthworks LLC. works the lawns of that end of Cherry Hill, where the ground remembers being farmland and the grass grows accordingly. The craft is in reading a yard: which side bakes in August sun, which corner stays damp, where the mower should turn so the stripes lie true. Cutting, trimming, edging and clearing away what falls — repeated on schedule, it turns an ordinary lot into something that looks composed. Come out on an evening after they've finished and the lawn holds the last of the light like a table just cleared.
