The train still comes into Butler, and the platform empties out into a borough of narrow driveways and deep back yards. T.C.'s Lawn Service LLC works midweek while those blocks are quiet — mowing, edging the drive aprons, trimming along garages and back fences, pavement cleared before the truck moves on. Highlands soil sits shallow over rock, so the mowing height stays generous and the grass keeps its color well into August. Cleanups run at either end of the year. The quiet reward is somebody stepping off the evening train and finding the yard already done.
