The light rail runs along the edge of Burlington, and its first train of the morning makes a decent alarm clock in any season. In winter PLC Lawn Care is out ahead of it — plowing driveways, clearing walks, laying salt where the ice sets up overnight — and by April the same trucks are pulling mowers instead. Mowing, edging, trimming and cleanups carry the warm months; plowing, shoveling and ice control carry the cold ones.
