Hector's Asphalt Repair&more

About Hector's Asphalt Repair&more

When a nor'easter turns up the Delaware Bay and sets in over Cumberland County, Bridgeton wakes to a driveway that has to be dealt with before anything else in the day can happen. Hector's Asphalt Repair&more handles that part — plowing drives and lots, clearing walks and steps, and salting the ice that follows a coastal storm's warm-up and refreeze. Snow here falls wet and heavy and sets like concrete if it is left alone, so timing is most of the job. There is a quiet reward in pulling away from a house at five in the morning with the pavement dark and open behind the truck.
