Boonton's yards are built in levels, held up by old stone walls that step down toward the river, so a lawn here is really a set of small shapes rather than one wide rectangle. M & S Landscaping & Design works with that geometry in late May, when everything grows at once — each level mowed clean, trimming run tight along the stonework, beds edged so the curves read on purpose. Mulch goes down, borders get defined, and the yard begins to look composed instead of merely cut. After that it is upkeep: mow, trim, clear, repeat, straight through the season.
