By March the Rockaway River runs loud again beneath Boonton, carrying off everything that fell on the hills all winter, and Bednar Landscape Services knows both ends of that story. On the cold end there are the hours before daylight: blade down, driveways opened, walks cleared, salt laid before anyone has to guess at the ice. On the green end there is mowing, trimming, edging and cleanups that leave a property looking like somebody paid attention to it. The route is the same either way, up the hill and back down again. A drive cleared before the first car door opens, a lawn cut in straight even passes — small things, and a whole street feels better for them.
