Franco's Tree Service

About Franco's Tree Service

Big Timber Creek loops around Blackwood in a slow green curve, and the sweetgums and red maples along it come up tall and fast out of that soft, sandy ground. Franco's Tree Service works the neighborhoods off the pike and down toward the lake — pruning limbs that lean over a roof, thinning crowns so the wind passes through, cutting out deadwood before it comes down on its own. A removal on a creek lot goes in pieces, lowered clear of the fence and the beds, with the wood stacked wherever the owner points. Summer here means downbursts, and afterward it's brush across three yards and a limb on the porch roof until somebody chips it and rakes it away. The result is plain and it's the point: an open lawn, a clear roof line, sky showing through the tree line again.
