About Cousins Garden Design

At midday in July the pitch pines throw hard shade while the open lawns take the full weight of the sun; a yard in Berlin is really two climates, and it has to be cut for both. Cousins Garden Design mows, trims and edges with that split in mind — height left a little longer where the sun is punishing, tighter where the ground stays cool and damp beneath the trees. Thunderstorms roll in from the west in the late afternoon, the grass drinks, and by the weekend everything wants cutting again. Keeping pace with a South Jersey summer is mostly a matter of returning on the same day every week and doing the small things: cuttings swept off the walk, borders held back where the grass tries to creep in. What comes of it is a property that looks composed even in the hottest stretch of the year.
