About Elmwood Services Inc

A nor'easter climbs the coast and by ten at night Bergenfield has gone silent underneath it, the streetlights full of moving white. Elmwood Services Inc is out in that — plowing driveways, shoveling walks and front steps, spreading salt where the melt will run and refreeze by morning. Then the year turns and the same trucks are hauling mowers: weekly cutting, edging, trimming, mulch in the beds, hedges shaped, leaves off the lawn come November. A town of driveways and short front walks needs both — the drive open before work and the grass even before the weekend. Two seasons, one route, the same streets in every kind of weather this county throws.
