The first warm Saturday in April, Bergenfield finds its sound again — a mower starting one street over, then another, until the whole grid of maple-shaded blocks is humming. A Cut Above Tree Care & Service takes that hum for what it is: a borough of small, close lots where every lawn is read from the sidewalk. Mowing, edging, string-trimming along the fence lines, mulch laid dark around the foundation beds — modest moves, done cleanly, that add up to a street worth walking down.
