About American Green Enterprise

At noon in August the driveways along these blocks give off a heat you can see, and the coolest thing on the street is a lawn cut even and edged sharp. American Green Enterprise works those hot middles of the day — mowing, trimming, edging, hauling the clippings off before the sun can sour them. Beds get mulched to hold whatever water there is, and hedges get shaped so the front of a house keeps a line. When the season turns, a full cleanup strips the yard back to bare and tidy again. From Bergenfield the ground tilts west toward the Hackensack and the highway to the south is a distant surf; standing on a finished lawn at midday, none of that reaches you.
