After Labor Day the causeway traffic thins and Beach Haven West gets its quiet back. Kline Brothers Landscaping Center spends that season on lawn care — mowing while the grass still runs, then trimming, edging and hauling off the leaves that collect against fence lines and foundation plantings. The marsh across the water turns bronze, low light comes in over Mill Creek, and the yards get their last shaping before the cold. The work here is measured in small lots and tight turns, driveway to back gate and out again. A yard closed out clean in October is a yard that starts easy in May.
