North Wind Snow Plowing

About North Wind Snow Plowing

A nor'easter finds Bayonne early, coming up the coast and over the harbor with wind that drives snow sideways down Avenue E. North Wind Snow Plowing runs against that clock — plowing driveways, opening walks, shoveling out the steps and salting the ice that forms where drifts melt and freeze again. Working at three in the morning on an empty peninsula has its own strange calm, streetlights blurred, the whole city asleep behind its storm windows. Then the plow makes its pass and a driveway exists again. That is the job: making the morning possible before the morning gets here.
