About Avalawn Care Llc

Avalon reaches farther out to sea than its neighbors, and the dunes on this island stand taller than anywhere else on the Jersey shore, which means the wind gets a say in every lawn behind them. Avalawn Care Llc mows, trims and keeps the beds along those ocean blocks, working sandy soil that drains fast and forgives nothing. By November the summer houses go quiet and the job changes — snow off the driveways and walks, salt where the freeze comes in over Townsends Inlet. There is a particular pleasure in an empty island street after a storm, one drive opened and swept, sand and snow blowing across it in ribbons. Come June that same yard is green, cut and edged, waiting for the family that owns it.
