This borough took its name from a painter of birds, and on an April morning it still earns it — robins working the wet lawns, a mockingbird running its whole repertoire from a wire above the driveway. The Nature Boys Llc tends those lawns, mowing, trimming and keeping the green space of Audubon in good order as the season opens up. Grass here wakes early and does not quit until October, which makes the work a matter of rhythm: arrive, cut clean, trim, clear the walks, come back. Kept up that way, a lawn stops being something anyone has to think about and simply looks right. That is the whole aim.
