Asbury Park is laid out in a level grid running back from the beach, and on Grand Avenue the old porches look straight down long front lawns. Level Landscaping keeps those lawns worthy of the view: mowed to an even height, edged along the walks, trimmed tight around posts, railings and the hydrant at the corner. Late spring is when the town greens up all at once and a weekly schedule earns its keep. Cleanups bracket the year — clearing what winter leaves behind in March, and what the maples drop in November. Nothing dramatic about it; just grass that looks deliberate, block after block.
