About Monarch Contracting LLC

Weather reaches Alpine early. Storms come up Route 9W and sit in the hollows along Closter Dock Road, where hemlock shade holds ice long after the open roads have dried. Monarch Contracting LLC runs snow work on those wooded lanes — plowing the long curving driveways, cutting walks down to the pavement, and laying salt where the grade wants to send a car sideways. The good part of the job happens before anyone sees it: three in the morning, headlights full of falling snow, one pass and then another until the drive is a clean black ribbon between white banks. By breakfast the storm is somebody else's problem.
