About Carlson & Son Landscaping

Early light comes in low over Windham's ledge and the old stone walls threading the oak and white pine, and that is the hour the machines start moving earth. Carlson & Son Landscaping builds the hard bones of a property here — paver patios, block retaining walls, granite-set steps, land clearing and land reclamation, grading, drainage, and new lawns laid in where there was only rough ground. The satisfaction is in the result you can stand on: a slope persuaded to sit still, water sent where it ought to go, a patio squared true to the house and holding the last warmth of a September evening. This is a town built on glacial hills and stubborn stone, and the work answers it in kind, leaving ground that has been settled on purpose.
