Kearsarge shows its north face to Wilmot, the road up to Winslow climbing off the flank of it, and most weather here comes right over the top of the mountain. Scott's Yard Care mows, trims and edges from Wilmot Flat out toward Eagle Pond through the green months, then plows, shovels and treats those same driveways once the mountain starts collecting snow. Storms hang on this ridge, so plowing often means heading back out after the wind has finished rearranging things. Fall cleanup is serious business — hardwood leaves off a whole hillside, gathered before the ground locks up.
