About Wilcox Tree Service

In West Swanzey the Ashuelot runs black under the covered bridge, and on a January morning the mill-village streets are narrow with snowbanks on both sides. Wilcox Tree Service works those close-set yards, where a maple planted long before the houses now leans over two roofs and a service line. Removal in that space happens from the top down, rope by rope, with nothing landing that wasn't aimed. The rest of the year is pruning — clearing limbs off porch corners, lifting crowns above the sidewalk so people walk under the shade instead of ducking it. After a wind night they are the ones dragging broken tops out to the curb and sweeping the last twigs off the pavement.
