About Wilcox Tree Service, LLC

Westmoreland sits high above the Connecticut, and from the ridge on Route 63 in April the valley opens the whole way across to the Vermont hills. Wilcox Tree Service, LLC works those hill farms and the orchard ground near Park Hill, pruning fruitwood and shade trees while the sap is still moving and the crowns are bare enough to read. Along Partridge Brook the big silver maples give up limbs every few winters; taking one down whole and clean, with the meadow fence still standing, is the point of the exercise. Trimming keeps the sugarbush edges and the driveway lines open, and when a spring storm lays a tree across a farm road, the wood is bucked and the lane is passable the same day. The work leaves a yard so tidy you'd have to hunt for the stump to know it happened.
