About Stockhaus Enterprises

There's a week in Weare when the last maple leaves let go, the Piscataquog runs black and cold, and the plow rig comes down off the blocks — autumn handing the work over to winter without much ceremony. Stockhaus Enterprises takes the snow from there: driveways, dooryards, walkways and lots opened up through the long hill-town storms, from the dirt roads above the ponds down to the village crossroads along Route 114. It is quiet, unglamorous night work — headlights swinging across old stone walls, the blade dropped, a clean lane cut while the house is still dark and the storm is still thinking about a second round. By the time coffee is on, the drive holds its edges, the walk goes through, and a family in Weare or a neighboring town can simply back out and get on with the day.
