About Hart Brothers Tree Service

Swanzey Lake goes glass-flat around eight in the evening, and Monadnock stands up dark on the far edge of the fields. Hart Brothers Tree Service works the lots that ring that water and the roads running out toward the hayfields — trimming pines grown over camp roofs, pruning hardwoods so a yard keeps its canopy without dropping deadwood on the picnic table. A removal here is done tight: rigged and lowered where a fifty-foot pine has nowhere to fall but into somebody's summer. When a thunderstorm rolls up the valley and buries a driveway under a spruce top, they cut the wood, chip the brush and rake until the gravel shows. It is plain work, and it is why the place looks like itself again by the weekend.
