The Winnicut River starts small in Stratham and works its way down toward the bay through low woods and old orchard ground. Pace's Tree Service LLC keeps the lawns on that side of town in shape — mowing straight through the season, trimming close to trunks and stone edging, cutting the borders so the turf stops where it ought to. April is all cleanup here: sticks, road sand and matted grass lifted off the lawn, beds cleared, the yard handed back ready for the year. After that it settles into the weekly rhythm that carries on until the leaves come down and the work turns to gathering them. Stratham first, with Greenland, Exeter and Newfields close at hand.
