Stoddard's Roots Lawn Care.

About Stoddard's Roots Lawn Care.

Center Pond holds the whole sky on a still morning, and the town around it keeps two rhythms, one green and one white. Stoddard's Roots Lawn Care works both — mowing, trimming and edging through the warm months, cleanups at either end of them, and plowing, shoveling and sanding once the roads turn hard. The name fits a place where the soil is thin over ledge and everything worth growing has to hold on. A lawn cut clean in July and a driveway open in January are really the same errand: making a place usable. Either way the house looks looked-after, which is the part the neighbors see.
