Doug's Tree Service

About Doug's Tree Service

On the inland side of Seabrook, where the Blackwater River slides brown and slow toward the marsh, the woods are pitch pine and scrub oak that grow fast and reach for whatever light they can find. Doug's Tree Service spends August up in those crowns, pruning out crossing limbs and lifting branches off shed roofs and the garden rows underneath. A removal near the river gets planned around soft ground — the right day, the right drop, then the stump ringed with chips instead of ruts. After a summer squall shears a top and leaves it hanging, the call usually comes the same evening, and the yard is walkable again before the kids are back from the beach. Handing over a clear lot with the wood stacked and the path swept is the part worth doing.
