Down by the old depot the rail bed runs straight out of Sandown toward Fremont, and in late August the grass along it goes tall and seedy in the heat. Land Cleaners Tree Service, LLC keeps the yards on that side of town from doing the same. The work is steady through the growing months — mowing on a rhythm, trimming the fence lines and the awkward corners a deck can't reach, blowing the walks clean at the end. Fall brings the other half of it: leaves off the grass, beds opened up, the property put back in order. A yard that has been kept all season shows it in October, and that is the point.
