Matthes Snow Plowing

About Matthes Snow Plowing

Salem storms announce themselves in that low blue hour before sunrise, when the air over Canobie Lake goes glassy-still and the first two inches are already stacking along Route 28 and the wooded lanes above the Spicket. Matthes Snow Plowing answers that hour: headlights swinging in while the town is still asleep, the blade laying one clean pass and then another until pavement comes back up out of the white. There is a real satisfaction in a drive opened all the way to its edges, in walkways cut square so a boot lands on solid ground and a car rolls out without a second thought. They plow and clear snow for homes and businesses across Salem and the surrounding Rockingham County towns, from the granite-ledged neighborhoods near the Massachusetts line to the streets behind the old mill-brick storefronts. The reward is the same every time — a property that looks cared for under six inches of winter, and a morning that begins without a shovel in hand.
