About Martineau landscaping & property maintenance

In February the storms come up the Cocheco valley and lay Rochester down under a heavy quiet — brick mill walls gone white, Route 11 reduced to a rumor, every driveway erased before morning. That is the hour Martineau Landscaping & Property Maintenance goes to work: headlights swinging into a dooryard while it's still dark, blade set, the first long push that gives a house back its front steps. There is a real satisfaction in a finished pass — the squared corner at the top of a drive, banks stacked where they won't blind a driver backing out, a walkway cut down to bare pavement before the coffee is poured. Across the Lilac City and its neighbors, this is snow work done storm by storm, and what it leaves behind is the plainest gift a winter morning can offer: a way out.
