About McDermott Landscape Design

Portsmouth mornings can arrive wrapped in fog off the Piscataqua, brick sidewalks damp and the tide running hard beneath the bridges. McDermott Landscape Design is out early in it, mowing the compact, well-loved lawns of the South End and the wider yards toward Sagamore Creek, trimming tight against fence lines and granite curbing. Salt air and sandy ground make their own demands, and grass that does well near the water asks for a lighter, more attentive hand. Edges get set clean where turf meets brick and bluestone, and no clipping is left on a walk. Spring and fall cleanups round out a year spent making small seacoast yards look serene.
