Charest Builders

About Charest Builders

First light comes late to Plaistow in January, and by the time it arrives the plow has already been down for hours, laying drives bare from Maple Ave out toward Atkinson and Hampstead. Summer turns the work to different ground — land cleared, earth moved and graded, a lawn renovated until it lies even and green beneath the long shadows the oaks throw at seven o'clock. Charest Builders sets stone and hardscape the way the old walls along these back roads were set, piece into piece, until a yard has an edge you can follow with your eye. Indoors the season becomes carpentry: kitchens, baths, basements finished into rooms. From Plaistow and Windham out to the Seacoast, and over the line to Amesbury and Salisbury, the satisfaction is the same — a place left holding its shape.
