About MAK’s Trucking & Excavation LLC

When a storm crosses the Connecticut and starts climbing the Plainfield hills it thickens on the way up — rain along 12A, heavy wet snow by the time it reaches the high roads toward Croydon Mountain. MAK's Trucking & Excavation LLC plows through that: drives and lots opened, walks and steps shoveled clear, sand and salt on the steep pitches where a car would otherwise slide sideways. Long dirt driveways are the local reality here, and they have to be cut wide the first time so there is somewhere to put the next storm. There is a plain pleasure in a hill-road drive banked neat on both sides with the valley turning pink at sunrise. The route runs until the last of it is moved.
