About TLC; The Lawn Company

Peterborough is often named as the model for Grover's Corners in Thornton Wilder's Our Town, and on a Saturday in early summer it's easy to see why: the Contoocook running under the downtown bridges, brick storefronts, porches, and yards stepping up the side streets. It's also home to what is known as the first free public library in the country supported by taxes, a town that takes its shared spaces to heart. TLC; The Lawn Company tends the green spaces of private homes here, keeping lawns cut, trimmed and edged. A lawn kept up week after week is the everyday version of that civic pride. Green, even and welcoming, it gives a neighbor every reason to stop and say hello over the fence.
