ABC Lawn Care

About ABC Lawn Care

Six in the morning in Ossipee, and the light is still deciding — mist coming off the lake, the old volcanic ring of the Ossipee Mountains standing dark against a paling sky. That is the hour ABC Lawn Care is already out, plow blade down on a driveway off Route 16 so a household can back out onto clean pavement without thinking twice about it. Come summer the work changes hands: mowers over yards edged by pitch pine and sandy soil, stripes laid down straight, a border cut so crisp it looks drawn. There is real satisfaction in the after — a dooryard that sits square and tended between the Bearcamp River and the pine barrens, holding its shape until the next pass. Lawn care through the green months, snow removal when the valley turns white and the roads go quiet.
