About Up North Scapes LLC
Late autumn on the Lamprey is a hinge: the last mowing gets done, the leaves come off the yards above the falls, and the plow routes start being rehearsed in someone's head before the first flake ever lands. Up North Scapes works both sides of that turn, in stone and in ground — paver and natural-stone patios, retaining walls, walkways set true, fire pits and seating walls that turn a backyard into somewhere you stay after dark, plantings, landscape lighting, and the excavation and drainage that decides whether any of it holds its line. Newmarket's brick mills sit on tidal water, and in the low months the light coming up off Great Bay lies flat across every dooryard between here and Portsmouth, catching a fresh-swept walkway like it was placed for that hour. Then winter, and the drives from Durham to Stratham opened before the town is properly awake; then spring again, and mowers back over the same lawns. There's a plain physical pleasure in it — the crisp edge, the water going where it ought to go, the yard that keeps its shape through everything this coast throws at it.
