Hanley Construction, LLC plows through it — driveways, private roads and parking areas opened, walkways shoveled, sand and salt where the grade turns slick. Storms come off the coast wet and heavy here, then blow back cold overnight, so the work is a second pass as often as a first. There is a particular satisfaction in a drive cut open at four in the morning, banks squared back, nobody late for anything. That is the job: a town moving as though the storm had not happened.
