About Rock Crest Gardens
October along Route 85 turns the maples over the old stone walls a color you cannot quite name, and Newfields sits under it with its white steeple and its handful of streets. Rock Crest Gardens works that season hard — leaves off the beds, perennials cut back, the last mowing taken low, mulch tucked in against the cold. Through summer it is the steady rhythm instead: mowing, trimming, edging the borders back to a true line. Gardens on a rise here have thin soil and quick drainage and a view down toward the fields, and they repay attention. When the truck pulls out, the yard looks put to bed on purpose.
