Willing & Maple

About Willing & Maple

Late October in New London, the maples along Main Street burn down to bronze, Pleasant Lake turns the color of slate, and the houses tucked under the Kearsarge ridgeline begin their long quiet. Willing & Maple keeps watch over those homes — seasonal opening and closing, routine property checks and reporting, repairs, upgrades and general maintenance, carpentry and painting, and the coordination of electrical and plumbing work. They line up the cleaning, the landscaping and the snow removal, so a drive is cleared before first light and a lawn holds its crisp edge whether anyone is there to see it or not. Smart locks and keypads, thermostats and humidity control, cameras at the door: small instruments that let a house in Sutton or Newbury be looked in on from a long way off. Across the Kearsarge and Lake Sunapee towns, the work leaves the plainest kind of satisfaction — a place that stays itself through the whole turning year.
