Four Seasons Landscaping meets that weather head-on — plow blades out in the dark so driveways and dooryards off Main Street are open and scraped down to pavement before the first cup of coffee, then mowers running through the short green rush of summer, when the Connecticut River bottomland grows fast enough that you can nearly hear it. There is a plain, physical satisfaction in the result: a lawn cut in even passes right out to the treeline, a bank of snow pushed back far enough to swallow the next storm, a yard that keeps its shape while the Kilkenny hills change color behind it. It is a small pleasure, repeated all year — leaving a place a little tidier than the sky intended.
