Down to Earth Landscapes works out of Kensington, where the fields still run to old stone walls and the salt air off the seacoast slips a few miles inland to cool the oaks. The work moves with the calendar — weekly mowing, spring and fall cleanups, mulch laid dark around beds, weeding and pruning, then snow removal when the roads go quiet and white. They also build the bones of a place: landscape design, patios and walkways in stone, fire pits, tree and flower installations, drainage, driveways, ponds and water features, woodland trails cut through managed forest.
