McClure's Tree Service

About McClure's Tree Service

Keene laid out a Main Street wide enough to turn a stagecoach and then lined it with trees, and the town has been looking after them ever since. McClure's Tree Service ranges from the neighborhoods under Beech Hill down to the flats along the Ashuelot, trimming limbs off rooflines and pruning crowns while the branching is bare and readable. When a wet November storm sits over the valley and hangs snow on trees still holding their leaves, the cracking carries across the whole city. The morning after is removals and clearing, drive by drive: wood loaded out, brush run through the chipper, lawns picked over until a street looks like a street again. That first clean pass down a block is worth the cold hands.
