About Shelley Landscaping & masonry

A stone wall goes up one fieldstone at a time, each face turned and set until it stops arguing with its neighbors — and then it simply stands there in the Monadnock light, holding a slope steady for the long haul. Shelley Landscaping & Masonry works in that patient register out of Jaffrey, New Hampshire: stone walls, patios and walkways, custom masonry, and hydroseeding that coaxes bare ground back into green. Between the granite work come the ordinary rhythms of a yard — lawns mowed and kept through the growing months, driveways and walks cleared when winter shuts the roads down to two lanes of white. The pleasure of it is physical and plain: a walkway you can follow to the door in the dark, a drive opened before the first coffee, a lawn that fills in thick under the long shadow of the mountain.
