Granite State Land Management

About Granite State Land Management

In Groton, the Cockermouth River has spent ages polishing bedrock into the swirls and potholes of Sculptured Rocks, and something of that patience seems to run through the whole town. Granite State Land Management brings a gentler version of the same work to the lawns and grounds along these wooded back roads. Grass is cut to an even height, edges are drawn sharp against the old stone walls, and the open ground around a home is kept from drifting back into forest. In a town of a few hundred people and countless maples, a tended yard glows like a lit window. It is land care shaped by the place itself: unhurried, attentive and built to hold.
