About Goffstown Green Thumb and Garden Center
The twin Uncanoonucs stand over Goffstown like two green shoulders, and the Piscataquog runs below them past the village, carrying the morning downhill. Goffstown Green Thumb and Garden Center works in that light — a garden center stocked with trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals, and a landscape side that designs and installs the lawns, gardens, irrigation systems and backyard retreats those plants grow into. There is a plain satisfaction in a bed newly cut and filled: the dark curve of its edge, young shrubs set at their spacing, the irrigation ticking on at first light while the hills are still blue. Inside, the shelves hold garden and irrigation supplies alongside New England made goods from local craftspeople, so a yard can be imagined and carried home in the same trip. It is patient work, and it stays put — greening up a little more each year on the slopes above the river.
