Gilmanton spreads across its hills in three villages and a lot of open field, with Crystal Lake bright down at the bottom and old farm lawns running right up to the stone walls. TFM Groundskeeping keeps that ground in order — mowing the wide yards and the field edges, trimming close along walls and outbuildings, cutting an edge where the lawn meets the gravel drive. Late May here is the best of it, the grass coming in thick and the smell of it hanging in the air till evening. Cleanups at either end of the season clear the winter's leavings and the autumn's leaves off the turf. Gilmanton, the Iron Works and the towns nearby all fall within the round.
