About Mainely Grass
Mid-June in Exeter, and the Squamscott runs warm past Swasey Parkway while the grass comes on fast — thick, greedy, growing an inch between Tuesdays. This is where Mainely Grass does its lawn care: feeding turf on a six-to-eight-week rhythm, opening compacted ground with aeration and working new seed down into it, then circling back every four or five weeks with tick and mosquito treatments so the yard stays a place you actually sit in at dusk. There's a plain pleasure in the result — a dooryard off a Front Street brick block that holds its color through August, a back lawn sloping toward the marsh that a family can cross barefoot without thinking twice.
