Late October in Deerfield turns everything the color of struck brass — oak and maple leaning over the back roads toward the Pawtuckaway hills, hayfields gone the pale gold of an old coin, woodsmoke thin above the stone walls. Blue Sky Landscaping LLC keeps those properties, residential and commercial alike, from its home ground on East Raymond Road: mowing and edging through the green months, pruning and trimming, Harley raking and slice seeding and hydroseeding bare ground until a new lawn answers back, mulch laid dark and even along a bed, and the seasonal cleanups hauled off before the ground locks. The satisfaction in this work is physical and plain — the crisp line where turf meets walkway, a hardscape set so squarely it looks like it grew out of the ledge, a yard that holds its shape all season. Then winter comes sideways off the ridge, and the plow trucks are out early, cutting a clean black stripe up the driveway while the pines are still bent white. It is year-round work, and Deerfield wears it well.
