First light comes slow to Danville, filtering through white pine and stone wall before it reaches the gravel drives — and by then the plow has already been down and back, the blade turned, salt laid clean along the turnaround. Marceau Landscaping works these low woods and back roads of southeastern New Hampshire year-round: mowing and spring and fall cleanups, bark mulching and blown-in mulch, tree and shrub pruning, plantings, patios and walkways, new lawns and lawn repair, brush cutting, gravel driveway work, and loam, stone, and mulch spread where it needs to go. There is a real pleasure in the finish of it — the dark seam of fresh mulch against green, the crisp line a mower leaves across a dooryard, a gravel drive graded smooth enough to hear the tires quiet down. Come winter the same ground is kept open by plow and Bobcat for homes and businesses alike, so the day can start on time. From Danville out through Kingston, Hampstead, Plaistow, Atkinson, and Fremont, the work is simply this: land that holds its shape, and holds it well.
