About Allin Stump & Tree LLC

Dalton lies along the New Hampshire bank of the Connecticut River, and on winter mornings the fog off the water can hang over its fields until the sun breaks through. Up the hill, Forest Lake sits frozen and silent inside a ring of snow-loaded pines. Allin Stump & Tree LLC takes on snow removal in this North Country town, and though its name speaks of stumps and timber, in the cold months the work is plowing households out. Where houses stand far apart along Route 135, a drive cleared by first light is the difference between a day that starts and one that waits. Snow pushed high and neat to the edges, a lane open to the road: that is a winter morning set right.
